It was once a shameful thing to "sell out," and any artist doing so would be ridiculed by their peers. That stigma is now gone. Influencers will partner with brands, shilling product on their social media with strategic product placement in selfies, and maybe even a discount code for their followers. In Brand Partner I satirize this insidious relationship. Through posting the images on Instagram, it's my aim that people start to question if what they're seeing is real or false and examine their own consumption of advertising and images in general.
